TOY REVIEW: KRE-O TRANSFORMERS: OPTIMUS PRIME (BASIC SET)

Here's a Toy Review of KRE-O TRANSFORMERS: Optimus Prime. This is the basic set, which it only haves 90 pieces. There is also a Deluxe Version, which contains 542 pieces. I got this a christmas gift from my siblings. They bought it at Toy Express for only P499.75.

 PACKAGING

The packaging shows a very cool box art of Kre-O Optimus Prime and its vehicle mode. It also has a very awesome view on little buildings on the front portion of the box. The colors are very vibrant and they really blend to each other. The back portion of the box shows a standard white background, but still a very nice design.

This a really decent figure. I liked the design, even though it does not convert, it's like transformed because the same parts go together in both robot and truck mode.

It has the following articulations:

• Head articulation
• Shoulder articulation (does not rotate, moves upward and sideward)
• Elbow articulation
• Leg articualtion
• Ankle articulation

It is still a very cool figure. It has decent size, beautiful blending of colors, and has articulation. It has 2 left over pieces, you can use it to make his G-1 like gun.

VEHICLE MODE

The vehicle mode is a flat-nose truck. It is like a hybrid of the G-1 and Animated Versions. It has no trailer, but we can consider the blue one at the back a mini trailer. Very nice design. The wheels roll in any flat surface. The size of the truck is very decent. Kre-O and Hasbro did a pretty nice job on this one.

POSABILITY

Because it has a lot of articulations. You can do awesome poses with this one. The images above are some of the poses (click the image to view full size). If you have collected all of the Kre-O Transformers Construction sets, you can make your own battle scene.

OVERALL:

This set is very nice in many ways. Even though it does not directly transform in each modes, it is still an awesome set. All of those designs blew me away with its pure awesomeness. I will try to collect all of these sets.
